National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - Under Graduation
NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST [ NEET (UG) – 2021] will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) on Sunday, the 12 September 2021 (Sunday) in Pen and Paper mode in 13 languages, as a uniform entrance examination for admission to MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BSMS/BUMS/BHMS and other undergraduate medical courses in approved/recognized Medical/Dental /AYUSH and other Colleges/ Deemed Universities /Institutes (AIIMS & JIPMER) in India, as per Section 14 of The National Medical Commission (NMC) Act, 2019 and relevant Graduate Medical Education Regulations (GMER) 1997, as amended from time to time. The languages in which the NEET (UG) 2021 would be conducted are : English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
The Result of NEET (UG) - 2021 may be utilized by other Entities of Central and State Governments, in accordance with their respective eligibility criteria / other norms /applicable regulations/guidelines/ rules. The result data may also be utilized for B.Sc. (H) Nursing courses in accordance with their respective eligibility criteria / other norms /applicable regulations/guidelines/ rules. The NEET (UG) – 2021 result data could also be used for admissions to BVSc & AH courses under the 15% quota of VCI in recognized Veterinary Colleges. However, the Council has to approach the MCC of DGHS, MoHFW in order to obtain the said data of results.
NEET is the only UG medical entrance exam medical aspirants should focus on now. However, students who qualify NEET and want to take admission in the MBBS courses of the Institutes of National Importance (INIs) like AIIMS and JIPMER will have to meet the institutes' eligibility criteria and minimum qualifying marks.

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) has introduced some changes to the exam in the light of the new National Medical Commission (NMC) Bill. The Bill will come into full force by 2021. The new Bill states that the 60-year old Medical Council of India (MCI) will now be replaced by the all-new NMC.
👉 Pattern of the test
The Test pattern of NEET (UG)-2021 comprises of two Sections. Each subject will consist of two sections. Section A will consist of 35 objective-type questions (in the MCQ format), and Section B will have 15 objective-type questions (in the MCQ format), out of these 15 Questions, candidates can choose to attempt any 10 Questions. So, the total number of questions and utilization of time will remain the same.
The pattern for the NEET (UG)-2021 Examination for admission in Session 2021-22 is as follows:
Unanswered/Unattempted questions will be given no marks. In case, a question is dropped/ ignored, all candidates will be given four marks (+4) irrespective of the fact whether the question has been attempted or not attempted by the candidate.
Note 👉 Section A of Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology consists of 35 questions which are compulsory to answer.
While Section B of Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology contain 15 questions, out of these 15 Questions candidates can choose to attempt any 10 questions.

NEET Syllabus is a combination of Class 11th and Class 12th. For National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test NEET (UG)-2021, the National Medical Commission of India (NMC)
recommends the following syllabus for admission to MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BSMS/BUMS/BHMS courses across the country, after review of various State syllabi as well as those prepared by CBSE, NCERT, and COBSE. This is to establish uniformity across the country, keeping in view the relevance of different areas in medical education.

👉 Mode of Examination
NEET (UG) – 2021 is a Pen & Paper-based Test, to be answered on the specially designed
machine gradable OMR sheet using Ball Point Pen.
👉 Eligibility to appear in NEET (UG) – 2021
Eligibility for appearing in NEET (UG), as per related Regulations of NMC and DCI are as follows:-
He/she has completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or will complete that
age on or before 31 December of the year of his/her admission to the first year
Undergraduate Medical Course.
The upper age limit for NEET (UG) is 25 years as on the date of examination with a relaxation of 5 years for the candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC-NCL category and PwBD Candidates.
Since NEET 2019, the poor students of General Category can apply under the 10% reservation quota for the EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) students.One can check if one is eligible for a seat under the EWS quota or not.
👉 Medium of the Question Papers;
NEET 2021 will be conducted in 13 languages:
English,
Hindi,
Urdu,
Assamese
Bengali,
Gujarati,
Malayalam,
Kannada,
Marathi,
Odia,
Tamil,
Telugu,
Panjab.
The candidates will have to choose their medium while filling up the application form. The language once chosen cannot be changed later. Please note that question papers in English, Hindi, and Urdu languages will be available at all examination centres in India. But the regional language facility can only be availed at examination centres of the related state.
Candidates choosing English language will get the test booklet only in English. Candidates opting for any of the regional languages will be provided a bilingual test booklet. In case of any ambiguity in the question, the English version of the question will be deemed final.
